In Flanders Field and remembrance

English professor Patricia Rae can talk about In Flanders Field (and other war poems and war monuments in general) and explain why it is important to remember the sacrifices of our veterans.

Dr. Rae currently teaches a seminar on war poetry and is the former head of the Queen’s English department. Dr. Rae has written extensively on the "work of mourning" in poetry and prose memoir and is especially interested in issues related to the remembrance and commemoration of war.

Please note that on Nov. 10-11, Dr. Rae will be in Victoria, B.C., and available by phone.
