Justin Trudeau needs to capitalize on momentum: Queen's University expert
Queen’s University Canadian politics expert Erin Crandall is available to talk about Justin Trudeau winning the federal Liberal leadership race.
She can comment on what he has to do to bring the party back to power despite his unproven track record as a party leader.
“Justin Trudeau is still unproven as a leader and, as he was saying in his acceptance speech, the work begins today. He clearly had the momentum going into the leadership race and continues to keep it. He had 80 percent of the vote, which speaks to the fact that the Liberal Party is behind him, unlike previous Liberal leadership races when the party came out somewhat divided,” said Dr. Crandall.
Dr. Crandall is the Skelton-Clark Postdoctoral Fellow in Canadian Affairs in the Queen’s political studies department and teaches courses in Canadian government and Canadian politics.
Please note Dr. Crandall is available for phone interviews only.
