Military rehabilitation funding

Queen’s rehabilitation therapy professor Alice Aiken is available to discuss the federal government’s announcement that it will increase funding for seriously wounded Canadian Forces personnel.

Professor Aiken is scheduled to participate in the inaugural national research forum on military health, hosted by Queen’s and Royal Military College, in Kingston in November. She served in the Canadian military for 14 years, including six years as a physiotherapist. Her research interests include health services and health policy, with an emphasis on inter-professional care, both from an educational perspective and in the form of improved models of care for the Canadian health care system.
