Anita Anand
Associate Professor, Anita Anand, views the Ontario Securities Commission's recent crackdown on mutual funds’ market-timing practices as part of its overall strategy to better protect Canadian capital markets. Anand is former Director of Research and Legal Counsel of the advisory committee reviewing securities regulation in Ontario, and Researcher for the federal government’s Wise Persons' Committee (2003) examining securities regulation. She is the author of “Securities Law in the Internet Age: Is ‘Regulating by Analogy' the Right Approach?” (Queen's Law Journal, 2001). Her current research is focused on corporate governance and corporate crime.
