Statistics Canada's 'Economy & Environment' report
Queen’s University School of Policy Studies professor Warren Mabee will be available to discuss the Statistics Canada report being released on Tuesday morning titled “The Economy and the Environment.”
The Stats Can study explores the relationship between Canada’s economy and the environment along several themes, including natural wealth, natural resource stocks, material and energy flows and environmental protection efforts.
Dr. Mabee, who is the director of the Queen’s University Institute for Energy and Environmental Policy, will read highlights of the report when it is released Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. and be available to answer reporters’ questions. Dr. Mabee has authored numerous studies examining policy for renewable energy options, and has provided expert advice to both federal and provincial governments on the development of strategies to reduce our reliance upon fossil energy sources.
