Queen's sociology professor, Dr. David Lyon, is a world expert on technological surveillance post-9/11.
Dr. Lyon heads an international research team that is investigating the implications of the increasing flow across international borders of “personal data”, from telephone numbers and PINs to fingerprints and retinal scans.
