Two Canadians making history at Wimbledon: Queen's University expert

2014-07-04

Queen’s University sports expert Geoff Smith is available to comment on two Canadians making it through to the final stages of Wimbledon. Milos Raonic plays today in the men’s semifinals and Eugenie Bouchard will play tomorrow in the women’s finals of the tournament.

“In this time-honoured tennis tournament Canadians are usually on the outside, looking in. But not this year,” says Dr. Smith. “Although Bouchard and Raonic are being touted as the underdogs, who knows what might happen. I’d love to see the both of them win and bring Canada to the pinnacle of world tennis.”
