U.S. government shutdown could lead to another recession: Queen's University expert

Queen’s University American politics expert Brandon Tozzo is available to comment on the partial US government shutdown. The shutdown occurred over a dispute over President Obama’s health care law stalled a temporary funding bill.

This is the first shutdown in 17 years and has forced 800,000 federal workers off their jobs.

“The US government has shut down due to budgetary issues and the funding of Obamacare,” says Mr. Tozzo. “Stock markets have already reacted negatively and it could lead to another recession.”

Please note that Mr. Tozzo is only available after 5 p.m. today.
