Five outstanding secondary school teachers from across Canada will be presented with the Baillie Award for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching at Queen's University's spring convocation.
Five outstanding secondary school teachers from across Canada will be presented with the Baillie Award for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching at Queen's University's spring convocation.
The award was established by Chancellor Charles Baillie and enables students graduating from Queen's to honour educators who made a positive influence on them during their high school careers, setting them on the course that brought them to Queen's.
This year's winners are:
Mr. Fussell and Mr. Gentile will receive their awards during the afternoon convocation on Tuesday, June 9. Mr. Gekas will receive his award during the morning convocation on Tuesday, June 2. Ms Dorren will receive her award during the morning convocation on Wednesday, May 27. Ms Samji will receive her award during the afternoon convocation on Thurdsay, June 11.
