Deadline nears for reserving regalia
Faculty members have until Friday, October 28 to book their regalia if they need to do so in order to participate in the academic procession during fall convocation ceremonies.
“Convocation is a meaningful moment in the lives of our graduates. To have those faculty members who have served as their teachers and mentors during their studies share in this achievement makes it all the more special. That is why we want to give faculty every opportunity to participate,” says Brent Cameron, Convocation and Communications Administrator.
Faculty members can confirm their participation, as well as book regalia, by filling out this online form. While faculty members are welcome to confirm their attendance in the period leading up to the ceremonies, the deadline for those booking regalia is October 28.
Personal convocation invitations have been e-mailed to faculty members. If faculty members have not received that e-mail, they can go to the convocation website to access the form.
Should faculty members have difficulty submitting their RSVP form, they can contact Mr. Cameron directly at (613) 533-6000 ext. 74050 or by email.
Convocation ceremonies will occur at Grant Hall on Tuesday, November 15 at 10 am and 2:30 pm, and on Wednesday, November 16 at 10 am and 2:30 pm. The full convocation schedule including the department or faculty breakdown is posted on the University Registrar website.
For the purposes of assembling the academic procession, faculty members are requested to arrive at Kingston Hall Room 209 no later than 30 minutes prior to the convocation ceremony.
