Principal’s Commission on Mental Health releases discussion paper
The Principal’s Commission on Mental Health has released a discussion paper to get feedback from the Queen’s and broader communities before finalizing its report in the fall.
“Towards a Mental Health Strategy for Queen’s” sets out a four-level pyramidal framework for a university mental health strategy to:
“We have heard from so many people who have passionately and eloquently helped us formulate this discussion paper with their knowledge, experience, insight and suggestions,” says David Walker, Commission Chair . “We are now asking the community to assist us in determining if anything is missing and how we might prioritize our recommendations.”
The commission was established last fall by Principal Daniel Woolf.
“I applaud the extraordinary work of the commission this year, ” says Principal Woolf. “The commissioners have listened very carefully to a range of input from the community. I look forward to the response to this discussion paper and the continued work of the commission as the final report is developed.”
