Queen's welcomes future students during Fall Preview
A record number of secondary school students will descend on campus during Fall Preview on October 27 and November 10.
“Fall Preview is an excellent opportunity for potential applicants and their families to ask questions and gather more information to determine if Queen’s is the right choice for them,” says Ann Tierney, Vice-Provost and Dean Student Affairs. “This is a wonderful time of year to visit Kingston and experience the university’s busy and beautiful campus.”
The all-day event includes general and faculty-specific tours and information sessions. Participants can also explore the Athletics and Recreation Centre, visit Victoria Hall to learn more about residence life and meal plans, and drop in at the Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre. Registration for this weekend is approaching 2,600 potential applicants, an increase of more than 20 per cent from pervious years.
The Fall Preview comes as students prepare their university applications. December 1 is the application deadline to be considered for an early offer of admission; major admission award applications must be submitted the same day. All admission applications are due at the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre on February 1, 2013. Undergraduate Admission has posted a complete list of key dates.
The Fall Preview itinerary is available online. Attendees are asked to register before attending one of the Fall Preview events.
