Training underway for new administration tools

Pictured above is Ingrid Gagnon, training co-ordinator on the Tools for Research at Queen’s (TRAQ) project, as she meets with faculty and staff in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering on March 12 to introduce and explain the new Awards (Grants and Contracts) module that will replace the Data Summary and Signature System (DSS) on March 26. Upcoming in-person training sessions are posted online, and members of the research community can contact the TRAQ team to schedule additional sessions for their department, faculty or research centre. Research community members can also access role-based manuals and YouTube videos.
In addition to the Awards module, the new financial reporting tool will launch at the end of the month for the greater Queen’s finance community. In-person training will take place the weeks of March 17-21 and March 24-28. Researchers, departmental administrators, business officers and administrative staff who will use the new tool to access financial information are encouraged to register online for one of many training sessions offered both in-person and remotely via webinar.
