Funding Opportunities Distribution List

The Office of Research Services (ORS) provides fast and efficient delivery of information about funding opportunities for researchers through an electronic "Funding Opportunities Distribution List".

To join the Funding Opportunities Listserve please follow these instructions:

Please specify the topic you are interested: natural sciences and engineering (NSE), health sciences (HS), and/or social sciences and humanities and fine arts (SSH).

Search the Funding Opportunities archives

Funding opportunities notices are archived on a weekly basis. In order to find a notice that has appeared on the list, you can search the archives in the following fashion:

As all notices have the deadline in the subject line, you can search "subject" by typing in any month and receive back a list of opportunities with deadlines in that month. For example, entering December in the subject space would give you a list of opportunities with December deadlines. Please note that all opportunities do not have deadlines; some allow for continuous submissions and these would not be captured by this type of search.
If you recall the name of the sponsor, you can also search this through a "subject" search. For example, entering "Canada Council" in the subject line would give you a listing of all announcements for Canada Council funding opportunities.
You can search a time frame by entering a period of time in the "date/time" spaces. For example, entering 1 Dec 08 in the first space and 31 Dec 08 in the second space, would give you a list of all announcements sent out in December. This would be a different list than in 1. above, and would contain all announcements that were made in December regardless of deadline. The deadlines for these opportunities would vary as the search is based on when the notice went out, not the deadline. Continuous deadlines would be captured by this type of search.
