Passengers require a permit to ride the shuttle. A park-and-ride permit is $45.00 plus taxes per month, and a ride-only permit is $20.00 plus taxes per month. Permits are available on either a monthly or an annual basis. In addition, a pay-and-display machine is available for occasional users. Shuttle riders interested in obtaining a permit can make arrangements at the Queen’s Parking Office located in the Rideau Building, 207 Stuart Street (Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm).
The service consists of one 40-seat bus that runs from 5:45 am to 7:45 pm (effective May 1, 2013), Monday to Friday. A map of the route and a copy of the schedule is available on the Queen’s Parking webpage.
A recent audit to gauge ridership on shuttle buses showed that even during times of peak demand, one shuttle will accommodate the current ridership. The schedule will ensure that shuttles run closer to capacity, in keeping with the University and Hospital’s commitment to green initiatives and fiscal responsibility.
