NanoFabrication Kingston (NFK)

In 2014, the university opened a state-of-the-art micro-nano research facility at Innovation Park. NFK, a collaboration between Queen’s and CMC Microsystems, is an open-access lab providing researchers with access to leading-edge equipment, methodologies, and expertise for designing and prototyping microsystems and nanotechnologies. The university located the facility at Innovation Park to maximize opportunities for sustainability, and to provide startups, SMEs and MNEs in the region with access to micro-nano prototyping services. The lab enables the discovery and development of innovative microsystems and nanotechnologies, and the training of next-generation innovators.
