Department of Public Health Sciences
Our longstanding and new graduate programs continue to train the next generation of epidemiologists, biostatisicians and public health professionals. We are proud of the fact that our graduates are in demand, and make meaningful contributions to society at home and abroad. We value our students and hope that their experiences here are all enriching, practical and forward-looking.
The Department of Public Health Sciences is home to many leading health research units. Particular strengths here include the study of cancer, its causes and its treatment, applied biostatistics and public health, mental health, developmental disabilities, injury, cardiovascular disease, and the health of children from local through international settings.
I am proud of our department, my colleagues and staff, and especially our students. Our graduates have gone on to do important things, whether they be in the worlds of research, clinical science, or policy and public health services. If you are considering graduate or post-graduate training, we would encourage you to get in touch.
