The Master of Public Health program at Queen's includes two practicum elements.
First, students participate in the Public Health Professional Development course (EPID 886). Spread out over both fall and winter terms, the course includes a number of practical sessions that help students develop the core competencies of public health. (Note: This is a required course for 16-month MPH Program candidates only.)
Second, students complete a 400-hour practicum placement (EPID 887) in a supervised setting. This placement is usually completed in the spring and summer terms of year one from April - August.
