Completing Your Degree


The Master of Science specializing in Biostatistics is a 12 month program. Full-time students admitted in September are expected to meet the milestones listed below.

Term Milestones
Fall
 
For students in the Department of Public Health Sciences: Completion of EPID 801, EPID 823, and STAT 853.
Completion of one elective course.
For students in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics: Completion of EPID 801, EPID 823.
Completion of two elective courses.
Winter For students in the Department of Public Health Sciences: Completion of EPID 804, STAT 886, and STAT 862.
Completion of one elective course.
For students in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics: Completion of EPID 804, STAT 886, STAT 862, and MATH 896.
Summer Completion of EPID 888 or STAT 888 (Master's Practicum)

To pass a graduate course, students must achieve a grade B- (70%) or above. Failure to pass a course may result in termination of the student's program.
