Welcome to the PhD in Epidemiology program in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Queen's University!
Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health-related events in populations and the application of this study to the control of health problems.
The primary objective of the PhD program is to train epidemiologists as independent investigators in an academic or equivalent research positions, or in a position of professional leadership in a health or related agency where research is an important function. Three elements comprise the program: coursework, comprehensive exam, and a dissertation.
