Announcing the creation of The Malcolm Stott Teaching Assistant Award

The Malcolm Stott Teaching Assistant Award is a new award that will be awarded to one graduate student in each term for excellence as a teaching assistant either in the classroom or the lab in any Physics or Engineering Physics course. The funds for the award have been generously donated by Bing Wang, who is a former PhD student of Professor Stott.

Undergraduate students in Physics or Engineering Physics courses who feel that their TA is outstanding are strongly encouraged to nominate them. The award will given every year to two graduate students, one in each term, for excellence as teaching assistants during the term. Awardees will receive $500 and a certificate.

For more information on this award and/or to nominate a TA in the current term, please go to http://www.physics.queensu.ca/TA-Award/. Nominations must be received by the last day of classes in the given term.
