Abstract:

Identifying the nature of dark  matter is one of the most challenging problems in physics. There is a general consensus that dark matter is a weakly interacting particle and predominantly cold, yet the Cold Dark Matter (CDM) hypothesis remains to be verified. After recalling some of the standard techniques to search for dark matter particles, I will show that next cosmological surveys will play a leading role in understanding the dark matter microphysics.
