Abstract:

There are currently over 20 cosmological dark matter detection experiments in operation or under development around the world. However, no one has attempted to accurately model the local phase-space distribution of the dark matter that these experiments are design to detect. I will describe some models and techniques that I am developing to improve our understanding of the dark matter distribution and its effect on dark matter detection experiments.
