Description:

PHYS350 is a 3.0 unit course that extends over both Fall and Winter terms with a reduced workload during each of these terms. The Fall term will be spent performing set labs (dealing with mechanics, thermodynamics, scattering, spectroscopy, radioactivity, electron physics, etc.) and developing the basic tools for performing experimental physics. At the conclusion of the Fall term, student groups will focus on defining and designing an independent project. The Winter term is dedicated to the group implementation of the project plan, concluding with analysis and reporting of the experimental result.
