Abstract:

The next-generation of double beta decay experiments hope to be sensitive to neutrino mass in the range suggested by the inverted hierarchy. Will we be able to get down to the normal mass hierarchy some day in the future? I will talk about the SNO+ experiment and double beta decay, showing that we are, in many ways, far from normal, but capable of approaching interesting sensitivity levels.
