Brief Biography

Dru is originally from Halifax, where he acquired a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Dalhousie University before fleeing Nova Scotia under cover of night to pursue graduate education in Ontario. He earned his Master’s degree in 2006-07 from Queen’s University, and was accepted into the doctoral program for the following academic year. His MRP was entitled “Arming Europe’s ‘civilian power’: an examination of defence integration in the European security environment” and focused on the difficulties associated with achieving comprehensive security integration between the European Union member-states. His doctoral research will likely expand upon this theme, though perhaps with a more optimistic tone.
