Research interests Canadian Politics, mass media, political communication, political advertising, propaganda Brief biography Jonathan Rose was educated at the His research areas are Canadian politics and the mass media. He is the author of a book on government advertising called Making Pictures in our Heads, Government Advertising in Jonathan's administrative responsibilities include graduate field convener for the Canadian politics sub-field, a partial secondment to the university's Centre for Teaching and Learning, Residence Mentor for the International floor at Victoria Hall Residence, and Chair of the Queen’s University International Centre Council. He has also provided advice to the Auditor General of Canada on government advertising and sponsorship, and on-going advice to the Auditor General of Ontario related to legislation regulating government advertising in Ontario. From 2006 to June 2007, he had the privilege of being the Academic Director of the Ontario Citizens Assembly on Electoral Reform, the first such body in the province and the second in the world.
