Mr. William Flanagan’s term as Dean of the Faculty of Law ends on June 30, 2013. Mr. Flanagan has indicated that he does not wish to be considered for another term as Dean.
In accordance with the procedures established by Senate, a committee chaired by Alan Harrison, Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) will be established to advise the Principal on the present state and future prospects of the Faculty of Law and on the selection of the Dean. Members of the University community are also invited to offer comments on the present state and future prospects of the Faculty of Law and the Deanship. These comments should be submitted in writing to Alan Harrison, Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) via barb.paquette@queensu.ca by September 21, 2012. Respondents are asked to state whether they wish to have their letters shown, in confidence, to the members of the Advisory Committee.
Suggestions of individuals who might serve on this committee may also be submitted to barb.paquette@queensu.ca by September 21, 2012.
