See me if you require support with your desktop computer. I will recommend, price, order, install and troubleshoot all of your computer needs. As the backup DCRep, I provide assistance with account problems, whether it is email, backup or library access problems. I provide technical support to the Psyc 100 subject pool and provide assistance on web development concerns. As part of the Technical Support team, feel free to ask me any technical question and I will direct you to the proper person to solve your problem.
Job Description
  • Provide support to local area networks and workstations. Troubleshoot hardware/software on existing systems and install new equipment and applications. Maintain systems by performing backups, maintenance, producing reports and upgrades as required. Ensure security and optimal performance of systems. Refer more complex problems to senior staff in the area or to Information Technology Services staff.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to users in identifying computer needs. Select systems based on requirements, capabilities, price and availability.
  • Participate in the review and assessment of the department's computer needs and make recommendations for their upgrade and maintenance.
  • Assist with administering the departmental web sites. Maintain and assist in the development of Web documents for the purpose of collecting and presenting data.
  • Provide training sessions on the proper usage of application software. May serve as the departmental computing representative.
