Emotional Processing

In both speech and music, information can be conveyed through prosodic (acoustic) cues in addition to verbal content. Emotional prosody refers specifically to the nonverbal communication of emotion through such cues. We are interested in the detection and processing of emotional prosody and under what conditions detection of emotion is enhanced or degraded.
