I am delighted that we are able to formally recognize the important contributions made by our outstanding teaching assistants. Congratulations to Vicki Lopes and Kevin Rounding for receiving the annual CCDP Teaching Assistant Award.

CONGRATULATIONS! (Kate Harkness/Ron Holden)
Jeremy Stewart has been awarded a $1000 scholarship from the Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF) to present his research at the annual CIHR national research poster competition being held in Winnipeg. The aim of the CSHRF is to provide a venue for the networking, research exposure and recognition of Canada's most promising research trainees in the health sciences. Jeremy was one of three students selected across all of Health Sciences at Queen's for this award.

Doug Mewhort wishes to thank everyone for the lovely plant and, of course, for the good wishes. He is gradually recovering and says that he still feels he's been hit by a truck, but the truck is getting smaller as days go by.

JOBS
Interested in teaching an Enrichment Studies Unit (ESU) at Queen's?
They are looking for someone to teach a one-day psych course, as part of their August 8-12 summer week. One day of teaching is five hours, and include a couple hours of pay for prep time. Most of their courses are taught by graduate students. See attached. Lecturer or Assistant Professor rank position at the University of Saskatchewan in Psychology. This is a one year term position.  Applicants with a research program in any area will be considered, although preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated teaching ability in introductory psychology, neuroscience, cognition and/or developmental psychology.
