CONDOLENCES (Rick Beninger)
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Rudy Kalin, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Queen's University, who passed away peacefully, in his sleep, August 16, 2011. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 45 years, Jane, sons: Erik, Paul and Michael, daughters-in-law: Leigh, Janice, Libby and grandkids: Will, Sydney, Tommy and Maya. A reception was held on Thursday, August 25 for family and friends. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Click here for memorial.

The new on-line ethics application system is here at Queen's (ROMEO). This system went live a few weeks ago. For a few months, the university will continue to accept paper applications using the old system. For those interested, Office of Research Services does offer workshops on the new ROMEO system. Are you the parent of a teen aged 14 – 17? Are you and your child’s other parent willing to participate in a research study? If you answered “yes” to both of these questions, then the researchers in the Family Psychology Lab of the University of Ottawa need your help. You are invited to participate in a Doctoral thesis research study conducted by graduate student Catherine Horvath, under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Lee of the University of Ottawa. The objective of the research study is to better understand parent and teen relationships, their daily interactions, and the role these play in teenagers’ adjustment.
