We have since received notice that they have been reinstated including; Principal’s Development Fund and Senate Advisory Research Committee Annual Competition, Postdoctoral Fellow Support, Faculty Travel Award , Postdoctoral Travel Award. Congratulations! On August 9, 2013, Lola Cuddy was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for 10 years of service as Editor-in-Chief of Music Perception, by the Society for Music Perception and Cognition.  It was presented at the biennial meeting of the Society by President Andrea Halpern, Professor of Psychology at Bucknell University. The inscription reads “Congratulations on a job well done!”  The 400 assembled delegates, many of whom work for the journal as members of the Associate Board or reviewers, joined in the congratulations by offering a sustained standing ovation.

CONFERENCES/LECTURES/SEMINARS

The Canadian Graduate Journal of Sociology and Criminology (CGJSC) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, bilingual and online journal hosted by the University of Waterloo. It is intended as a journal for graduate students at both the master and doctoral level. The aim of CGJSC is to extend intellectual boundaries by providing students with a setting to share new and innovative research ideas and by providing networking opportunities for students across Canada. CGJSC is actively seeking submissions of original research for our special upcoming thematic issue entitled “Women and Prisons”, which is expected to be published March 2014 in celebration of International Women’s Month. 3rd Annual IDC Northern Research Days and 12th Conference of the Canadian Rural Health Research Society: "The Stories of Rural Health through Knowledge, Research and Collaborative Action" will be held in Prince George, BC from November 13-15. For more info please click here.
