Announcement - Rick Beninger. This is the sad news of Allan Rollie's death. Allan passed away suddenly at his home in Victoria, British Columbia on the 1st of December 2012. Allan completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Queen's about 20 years ago and worked for a number of years in the Counselling Service before moving to the west coast. A Memorial for Allan will be held on Friday January 25th at 3:00 at the University Club (Stuart St.) in the George Teves Dining room. Brian Yealland (the university chaplain) will officiate.

Congratulations - to Jill (Jacobson), Paul and Kadlin for the new addition to their family! Audun Robert Eves was born on Monday, December 17th, (8 lbs and 20.5 inches long). What a nice Christmas present!

Third Floor washroom in Humphrey Hall (Kevin Munhall):If you have been in the Department this week, you have probably heard the construction work in the men's washroom. The University is replacing tiles on the floor and walls. These changes will be completed by the start of the new year and at that point we will change it from a men's to a women's washroom. Large signs will be posted but Mark Sabbagh will continue his stellar work as hall monitor to avoid any embarrassing confusions. In fact, I believe that Mark will be monitoring the halls throughout the holidays (with exception of Christmas Day due to a previous commitment as an elf!). Bravo Mark! Your dedication is appreciated.

THE PEER SUPPORT CENTRE - consists of a group of dedicated student volunteers who provide welcoming, confidential, and empathetic peer-based support to students at Queen's University. They are located in Room 34 of the JDUC (facing the Publishing and Copy Centre, turn right and walk to the very end of the hallway), open from 2:00pm to 11:30pm, every day of the week. Students can drop-in to the Centre or can call to speak with a volunteer at (613-533-6000 ext. 75111). For more information, click on the website:
