February 28, 2013 Graduate Committee Meeting 2:30p.m.

Integrating online resources into your teaching (Co-sponsored by the Arts and Science Course Redesign Project and the CTL.) - A series of sessions for instructors who are interested in integrating more online resources into their courses. The first two sessions will include a presentation by the publisher followed by demonstrations by one or two instructors of how they are currently using the publisher's resources in their Queen's course. The main focus will be Q & As and discussion. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, 2:00 to 3:30pm. Publisher and Courses TBA. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, 10:00 to 11:30am. Negotiating and partnering with publishers.

Faculty of Arts and Science - Call for Proposals for Course Redesign Project
- We are pleased to announce the third phase of the Arts and Science course redesign project. The project currently includes BIOL 102, CHEM 112, CLST 205, DRAM 205, GNDS 120, GNDS 125, MATH 121, SOCY 122, and we are seeking proposals for new courses. Each course redesign involves developing an existing large, introductory course into a blended version for on-campus delivery, as well as developing the same course into a fully online version. HGRC 2013 Call for Abstracts - The Health & Aging Graduate Research Conference (HGRC) 2013 is a graduate student conference that was created as a platform for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and profession development in health and aging topics.  The second annual conference will take place at CIBC Hall, McMaster University on March 1, 2013.  The deadline for abstract submission is February 4, 2013.  To submit or register for HGRC 2013, please visit the conference website here.



Queen's University, Department of Psychology - Teaching Fellow Position available - Summer 2013. The Department of Psychology at Queen's invites applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in teaching Abnormal Psychology (PSYC 235/6.0; course is available for either half or full course teaching commitment).  This is an online course with a maximum enrolment of 150 students. This is a summer term appointment for the period of May 1, 2013 to August 31, 2013, with the course in session from May 6, 2013 to August 5, 2013.  For more details please click here.

The University of Vermont, Clinical Neuropsychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship. The University of Vermont is pleased to announce a post-doctoral fellowship position in Clinical Neuropsychology.  UVM is especially interested in scholars that will help advance the university's research and teaching goals and assist UVM in reaching its diversity goals, especially with respect to the academic curriculum.  This Post-doctoral fellowship position has the potential of transitioning into a tenure-track line.  For more information, please contact Professor Michael Cannizzaro here. 

Algoma University, Sabbatical Replacement Position.  Algoma University is advertising a 9-month contract-limited appointment at the entry-level, beginning August 1, 2013. The successful candidate must have a completed PhD, and a demonstrated commitment to research and undergraduate teaching.  The area of specialization for this position is open, though preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Clinical and Counseling Psychology.  For more information click here.
