2010 NSERC DOCTORAL PRIZES: A CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
NSERC recognizes the achievements of Canada's most promising scientists and engineers with the NSERC Doctoral Prizes.Two awards are available in each of two categories: natural sciences, and engineering and computer sciences. See details attached. Please submit nominations to the Graduate Office (H227), Department of Psychology on or before  SEPTEMBER 1, 2009.

2009 SSHRC STANDARD RESEARCH GRANT (SRG) - IMPORTANT NOTICE
Notification of Intent (NOI) - deadline is August 15.  New SRG E-application process.  All applications MUST be submitted electronically; SSHRC no longer accepts paper copies. However, Office of Research Services must receive ONE paper copy of the complete application signed by the applicant and department head by noon on  October 15   before they can submit the electronic version to SSHRC. E-applicaton process go to website http://www.sshrc.ca/site/whatsnew-quoi_

Full Application - Deadline October 15   The E-Application and signed hard copy must be received in the Office of Research Services no later than noon on Thursday, October 15, 2009 .  If you wish to receive administrative and content feedback from the Office of Research Services on your application, please submit a draft proposal to Bonnie Stewart by September 15 or no later than October 1.  If you have any questions, please contact Bonnie Stewart, Research Facilitator at extension 74686 or by email: stewartb@queensu.ca

NSERC - NOTICE OF DEADLINE
Please be aware that August 1 is the deadline to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to apply to the NSERC Discovery Grant Program. The NOI is the first part of a two-step application process (Full-proposal deadline is November 1 [an earlier deadline of Oct. 1 applies to Sub-Atomic Physics proposals of more than $500,000/yr.]).Rules for adjudicating and funding Discovery Grant awards were changed in 2009.  Please review the attached documents re Grant Process: NSERC 1 and NSERC 2.
