Queens Faculty, Staff & Retirees are invited to nominate candidates for a Queen's Distinguished Service Award. Inaugurated by the University Council in 1974, this award recognizes individuals who have made the University a better place through their extraordinary contributions. Recipients become Honorary Life Members of the Council. Recent changes to the University Council By-Laws now enable Queen's employees & retirees to nominate recipients, who will be recognized at the University Council Annual Dinner on Friday October 18, 2013. The APA Science Directorate supports science-oriented psychology graduate students each year through its Students Awards Programs. Two awards are currently being advertised-the APA Science Student Council Early Researcher Award and the APA Dissertation Research Awards. For both awards the deadline is September 16, 2013, and applications are welcome from graduate students in any research specialty area. The School of Rehabilitation Therapy at Queen's University invites applications for a Research Assistant to coordinate and oversee an 18-month project that will evaluate a joint initiative between Frontenac Community Mental Health and Addictions Services (FCMHS) and Providence Care's Adult Treatment Rehabilitation Program (PC-ATRP) to transition long-term in-patients in a hospital setting to the community. The incumbent will oversee the project and the position includes data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and the preparation of reports and publications, working 40% FTE at Salary Grade 6.
