HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING VIRTUAL LABORATORY (HPCVL)
The latest edition of HPCVL Newsletter is now available on-line at http://www.hpcvl.org/  Take a tour of "The Virtual Lab".  The website provides great resources matched to the Ontario curriculum.

MIND AND BRAIN fMRI VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Healthy volunteers are needed for studies July 10-13using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to understand how the human brain gives rise to our psychology.  Participating in the study requires one visit to the Queen's MRI Facility, and will take about 2 hours.  The studies are completely non-invasive.  A small honorarium ($30) will be provided.  To participate you must: Be between 18-30 years old; Be right handed; Be a native English speaker; Not have a permanent retainer or braces.  For more information and/or to be sent an information package,please e-mail Sharon at: <sharon. mindbrain@gmail.com

CLERGY STREET NORTH ROAD CLOSURE - JUNE 18TH (Mike Mason PCL Constructors)
Please be advised that the section of Clergy Street North of the JDUC, the back alley and parking lot will be closed down and out of service on Thursday, June 18, 2009.  This area will be off limits from 7 a.m. to 12 noon due to construction activities.

World renowned astronomer and University of California Professor Sandra Faber will be visiting the Department of Physics at Queen's University, June 14-19.Members of the public are invited to attend the June 16th lecture at the Bioscience 1101 at 8:00 p.m. "A Room with a View: Perspectives from Earth on the Cosmos".  Free Public Lecture.
