**We planned to have the next Departmental meeting a week early, however, since this falls on March Break week, we will have the meeting on March 20th at 2:30, our regular time slot, Rod Lindsay will Chair, and there will be a motion on the Hiring Plan**

CODE FOR KIDS in Kingston! CODE FOR KIDS, a not-for-profit organization sponsored by companies such as *CIRA, **Google** and Shopify, *is aiming to help kids learn the basics of computer programming, design and technology is coming to Kingston on March 15th! The sessions are ideal for children interested in what goes into creating video games, websites, apps and nearly anything digital! Kids aged 7-9 can learn about circuits and electricity while those aged 9-13 can discover the magic of website building! All events are hands-on learning opportunities, approximately 2.5 hours long, hosted by real-world industry professionals. The organization has held several successful events in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto - all with outstanding feedback! Ontario Ecology, Ethology, and Evolution Colloquium (OE3C) 2014 -
May 8th - 10th at the University of Guelph. Registration is now open. We welcome abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations, especially from undergraduate or graduate students and post-docs. Early registration will continue until March 21, and then late registration will run from March 22 to April 7. We encourage everyone to register early to increase the likelihood of receiving their preferred presentation type. Fourth International Conference on Families with Parental Mental Health Challenges, April 25 - April 27, 2014, Ed Roberts Campus, Berkeley California, USA. This conference will bring researchers, educators, policy-makers, and providers from across disciplines together with members of the judiciary and those with lived experience. The primary aim is to share knowledge and experience, to advance the rights and highlight the needs of families striving to live well with parental mental health challenges. Related objectives include provision of an interactive forum to discuss common experiences, effective and evidence informed support and advocacy strategies, and contemporary, cutting edge research. Department of Psychology, Queen's University, Distinguished Lecture Series 2013/2014:

JOB OPPORTUNITIES  

Please see the attached call for fellowships at Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS). The call is for fellowships of up to three years (6-36 months) for junior researchers (with 2 years of experience after their PhD) and senior researchers. Fellowships in all fields of research are given out. Having established contacts to, or collaboration with, Aarhus University researchers is an advantage.  Deadline for applications is March 21 2014.
