The job involves pre-admission assessments, individual and group therapy, disease education, pain management (relaxation training, biofeedback, cognitive therapy, assertive communication), relapse prevention, and treatment follow- up. In addition, the team provides community education for patients and health care professionals re: the treatment of rheumatological conditions (inflammatory arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, scleroderma).
