THE ONTARIO WOMEN'S HEALTH SCHOLARS AWARDS 2013-2014: DEADLINE TO THE SCHOOL OF GRADUATE STUDIES:  THURSDAY JANUARY 3, 2013 - Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, a Scholar Awards Program in Women's Health has been established to ensure that Ontario attracts and retains pre-eminent women's health scholars.  The community of women's health scholars fostered by this Awards program will excel, according to internationally accepted standards of scientific excellence, in the creation of new knowledge about women's health and its translation into improved health for women, more effective health services and products for women, and a strengthened health care system.  For 2013-2014, up to one award will be made at each of the Master's and Doctoral levels, and Postdoctoral level.  Announcements and Application forms in both English and French can be found here.

ONTARIO GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP (OGS)

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) program is designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies at the master's and doctoral levels.  All current students applying to OGS must have their applications and their supporting documents submitted by the deadline of February 8, 2013 to the Psychology Graduate Office.  Please note that SGS OGS application details are not yet available.  Please keep checking the website for further updates.  For details, click here.  For OGS student checklist, click here.

Department of Psychology Colloquium Series - As part of the Psychology Colloquium series and the seminar series for the Queen's University Group for Research in Reproductive and Developmental Origins of Health, Disability and Disease, Dr. Sari van Anders, Assistant Professor, Psychology & Women's Studies, Faculty Member, Neuroscience Program, Reproductive Sciences Program, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, (http://www.personl.umich.edu/) will be visiting Queen's University to give a seminar entitled "Testosterone, Sexual Desire, and Gender/Sex", on  Friday, November 2, 2012, at 3pm, School of Medicine Building, Room 032A (lower lecture theatre).  For Dr. van Anders' abbreviated CV, click here.
