CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR ALUMNI AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING

As the Chair of the 2009/10 Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching selection committee, I am writing to draw your attention to the annual request for nominations. This award is given annually to a Queen's professor who, in the view of his/her students and colleagues, demonstrates superior abilities as a teacher and commitment to effective learning. The winner receives a statue and $5,000. The deadline for nominations and supporting documentation is February 25, 2011. Please see the attached poster for details or contact Nikki Remillard at nikki.remillard@queensu.ca

The Ontario Association on Developmental Disabilities(OADD) Research Special Interest Group (RSIG) is inviting proposals for presentations and posters for its annual research conference, to be held Thursday, April 17, 2011at Four Points Sheraton Hotel, in St. Catharines, Ontario. ALUMNI RELATIONS
The Alumni relations office is featuring a special film screening and lecture by Oscar winning documentary film-maker Brigitte Berman on January 19, 2011. She will be presenting her film “Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel” at the Etherington Auditorium.  The event is open to all Faculty, Staff, Students and the general public.
