Clare Gordon graduated from Keele University, England, with a first class honours degree in Music. As a soloist she performed Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with the Keele Philharmonic Orchestra and Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D Major with the Bath Philarmonia. As a collaborator she provided orchestral accompaniment for world famous pianist, Peter Donohoe’s performance of Busoni’s Piano Concerto in C major in the Bath International Music Festival, and was an accompanist for Bath University, The Chandos Singers, Chippenham Cantata and Bristol Opera Company.
Since moving to Kingston, Canada in 2003, Clare has collaborated with Bottle Tree Productions, Hart House Orchestra, Kingston Symphony Orchestra, Queen’s Chorale Ensemble, She Sings, and Two Women Opera Company. She has attended the collaborative pianist program at the Canadian Operatic Arts Academy in London, ON, and was pleased to make her collaborative debut with internationally recognized artists Valery Lloyd-Watts (4 hands recital, St. George’s Cathedral) and Brian Finley and the Westben Arts Festival (Finley Requiem) this season.
Also an administrator and teacher of piano, theory and musicianship for Queen’s Conservatory of Music, Clare is currently accompanist for Cantabile Women’s and Men’s Choirs of Kingston, Kingston Chamber Choir, Kingston Choral Society, Queen’s Conservatory of Music and Queen’s School of Music.
