Queen's University

The Yamaha method of music education incorporates weekly group lessons designed to give students the best beginning possible for the development of basic music skills at any age level. The Piano Club, taught by Barbara Bolte, is specifically tailored to mature adult beginners, who will learn keyboard and ensemble skills through active music making in a social environment. This Level 2 course is a continuation of Level 1. Participants will meet for 12 weeks each term (except Spring - 9 weeks).

Classes will take place on Thursdays between 1-2pm, in the Keyboard Lab (Rm 229) of Harrison-LeCaine Hall of Queen’s University, on Bader Lane. The Piano Club Level 2 runs in 3 progressive modules between September, 2012 – June, 2013.

  • Fall Term: 27th September – 13th December, 2012 (12 weeks)
  • Winter Term: 17th January – 11th April, 2013 (12 weeks)
  • Spring Term: 18th April – 13th June, 2013 (9 weeks)

No class will be held on 14th March, 2013 due to March Break.

Students completing the spring term will have the opportunity to participate in the year-end concert in a group class performance on Sunday June 9th, 2013.  Solo performance opportunities will be available at the QCM student recitals in December 2012, and February and April 2013.  Please check Events for dates.
