Getting Around Queen's

Conference sessions will be convened at Douglas Library (3rd floor) and in the BioSciences Complex (Rooms 1102 and 1103 on Thursday, and Room 1101 on Friday). The Conference Reception will be held in Stauffer Library on Wednesday, and Thursday's banquet will be in Ban Righ Hall ( not Ban Righ Centre ). These buildings are prominent on the interactive campus map. To locate a venue, click on "List Buildings" and select the building name (BioSciences Complex, Douglas Library, Leggett Hall, Stauffer Library, etc.) from the list, or 'mouse over' the buildings. The selected building will be highlighted in red.

There are many ways to get to Kingston.  Air (Canada) (United States), Train, and Bus services are all available. 

Directions to Queen's

By Car

From Montreal--> West on Trans Canada 401

    From Ottawa--> West on Trans Canada 401

      From Toronto--> East on Trans Canada 401

        From Syracuse-->

        • North on I-81 to the Canadian border.
        • West on Thousand Islands Bridge to Trans Canada 401.        
        • West on Trans Canada 401.        

        Follow Highway 401 to Kingston and exit south on Sir John A.Macdonald Blvd.
        (exit 615).

        • Follow this street south to Union Street, which is at the eighth set of traffic lights.
        • Turn left onto Union and continue for approximately 10 blocks to the Queen's campus.

        By Train or Bus

        • Trains arrive at the Kingston VIA Rail Station.
        • Buses arrive at the Counter Street Bus Terminal.
        • Taxi fare from either station to Queen's Campus is about $15.

        By Air

        • Taxi fare from Kingston Airport to Queen's campus is about $15.
