Accessibility Skills Workshops

Workshops offered by Library Services for Students with Disabilities introduce you to the challenges faced by students with disabilities, and explore the technology that enhances their learning environment. Ideal for those who intend to work with those with disabilities.

The following workshops may be offered this term:

  • Accessibility Awareness:
    Discover some of the challenges faced by students with disabilities attending university. What can you do to create a more inclusive environment?

    • Be Inspired!
      Learn how to use Inspiration software to organize, research, and write your essays.

    • Introduction to Adaptive Technology:
      Learn about assistive devices, specialized software, and computer technologies that enable you to study, take notes, research and write more effectively.

    • Creating an Accessible Learning Environment - An Expanding Horizons Workshop for Graduate and Professional Students
      Learn about disability issues in the classroom, how to enhance accessibility for all students, and what the instructor's responsibilities are in accommodating students with disabilities.
