Queen's is located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Kingston is situated on the northern shore of Lake Ontario, one of the world's largest lakes. Kingston is a small, safe and historic city, located a two to three hour drive to Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. Despite its size, the city offers a vibrant day- and night-life, with many attractions and activities for students.

The Climate

The City of Kingston enjoys a relatively mild climate for Eastern Canada, with pleasant summertime temperatures of between 20C and 30C. However, the temperature can reach -20C during the winter months and students who come to the School during the Winter are advised to bring warm clothing and suitable outerwear. Transportation to Kingston

The nearest international airport is the Toronto Pearson International Airport. It is a three-hour drive from Kingston. To get to Kingston from the airport, you have three options: airplane, bus or train.

  1. Airplane: Consult your travel agent.
  2. Coach Canada Bus: You can take a shuttle bus directly from the airport to Queen's campus, or from Union Station (downtown Toronto).
  3. Via Rail Train:To take the train, you will need to take a taxi or shuttle bus to the train station which is located in downtown Toronto (about a 20 minute drive from the airport).
  4. Car: Please consult Directions to Queens.
