Upon receipt of your application and full tuition and UHIP fees, we will send out an official “Letter of Acceptance.” Usually, courier mail will take 3 to 4 business days (additional fee will apply), regular mail will take approximately 2 weeks.
An English language test score may not be required for an undergraduate program at Queen’s if you achieve a minimum of 80 percent at the ESLA 140 - Advanced level or a minimum of 75 percent at the ESLA 150 - University Preparation level. If you are interested in applying to a graduate program, you are required to have at least 80 percent in either ESLA 140 – Advanced or ESLA 150 – University Preparation. The 12-week EAP program is designed to prepare students to study at an English-speaking university by improving reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. You will learn to write essays, conduct proper research and develop your study skills, all of which are necessary to study in a Canadian university.
Sometimes it is possible to audit various Queen’s University classes. However, in order to do so, you must obtain permission from the professor or department and inquire whether there is an auditing fee.
Attending our EAP program does not guarantee acceptance into an undergraduate/graduate program at Queen’s University. Students will have to apply to Queen’s University separately. For information about the English proficiency exam waiver, click here.
