Another significant milestone in the QUASR project has been reached with the confirmation of Deloitte Consulting as Queen's system integration partner in the implementation of the University's new administrative systems.
The Queen's University Administrative Systems Replacement project has been described as "part of the solution" in helping Queen's realize its academic mission. The initiative will improve service delivery, reduce operational and financial risks, and bring the University's currently antiquated systems up to leading standards for Student Administration, Human Resources, Finance and Research.
Deloitte is one of Canada's leading professional services firms. Most recently, Queen's worked with Deloitte in the summer of 2008 to conduct a number of high level workshops to develop the scope and requirements for the QUASR project. Deloitte's extensive experience in implementing Oracle PeopleSoft in higher education institutions makes them the ideal choice to work with Queen's on this project.
"Queen's looks forward to working in partnership with Deloitte Consulting on this important initiative for the University," says Jim Carse, QUASR Program Director. "Queen's and Deloitte share a clear sense of vision, focus and dedication to meeting the requirements and key objectives identified for QUASR."
"Deloitte is thrilled to be able to continue and deepen our relationship with Queen's," says Dave Turk, Deloitte's lead engagement partner. "Queen's is a priority account for our national practice, and represents a crown jewel in our organization. We look forward to supporting Queen's on this next phase of their administrative systems replacement project."
The transition will be phased in over three years, with the first major milestones being implementations in the Finance and Research Admin systems over the next year, followed by modules for Human Resources and Student in 2010 and 2011.
