Two information sessions on using the new HR PeopleSoft system for student contracts have been scheduled for particular "communities of interest" on August 18th and 25th. The 90-minute presentations will be customized for users who hire students on contracts and will be regularly using the new PeopleSoft contract hiring system.
The Aug. 18th session took place at 10:00 am in Room 100 of the Kinesiology Building on Division Street. An encore presentation on the 25th will start at 1:00 pm in the same room, and will run until 2:30 pm.
They continue the "Countdown to HR PeopleSoft" series, which began in July with two general Town Hall sessions. Close to 200 future users were introduced to the new HR administration system, some of its key features and a preview of training materials. Users also had a chance to learn about plans for upcoming training, communications, testing and other implementation activities scheduled for the next few months. A Q&A period followed the presentation, providing participants with a chance to voice questions and concerns about the new system.
Feedback from participants through an online follow-up survey indicated more than 80% found the initial sessions to be either valuable or highly valuable to them personally. The format has since been tweaked in response to requests for a more extensive Question & Answer period.
Additional Countdown to HR PeopleSoft information sessions will continue through the fall.
